Third Five Year Plan of Shimoga District

Abstract

The district plans embody the aspirations of the people of the area. They have been formulated after taking into consideration such factors as the felt needs of the people, the availability of resources and the technical know-how. But we must not rest on our oars merely because the task of formulation of the Plan has been satisfactorily accomplished. This is only the beginning of the tremendous task ahead. It is the implementation of these Plans and the execution of the schemes contained therein and not their mere formulation, that will bring satisfaction to the people. And, as the Third Five-Year Plan put-it, the primary aim of development administration must be to ensure high standard of integrity, efficiency and speed in implementation.
