dc.description.abstractThe State is Industrially Backward when compared with the other neighbouring States. There is no Large Scale Industrial Unit in the State. In the Small sector, Handle waving is the Major Industry followed by Small Scale Industries including Handicrafts. Likewise in the other North Eastern Region States; the growth of Industries has been very meagre. This is mainly due to the existing problems of power and communications.
