Abstract
The Study of the Rural Functional Literacy Programme(RFLP) was undertaken by the Programme Evaluation Organisation in 1985-86 at the instance of the Planning Commission The objectives of the Study were to; understand the organisation and administration of the programme; examine the Working of Adult Education Centres and assess the impact of the programme on the learners.
