Abstract

Post-Independence: After Independence The Central Government Recognised The Importance Of Rural And Cottage Industries In The Very First Industrial Policy Resolution Of 1948. The Constituent Assembly Also Included Development Of Cottage Industries In Rural Areas Among The Directive Principles Of The Constitution, In Article 43. These Ideas Were Elaborated In The Successive Five Year Plans.
