Abstract

With a view to discouraging the Jhum cultivation in hill areas , Govt. has initiated programming of compact areas in selected places in each of the districts where cultivating families will be given scope of resettlement in compact villages where all the infrastructure construction works are supposed to be completed in phased manner with the scope of annual fund for compact area schemes.
