Abstract
It is proposed to provide for 3 Agricultural Schools at Sylhet, Guwahati and Jorhat as part of the Grow- More-Food Campaign beginning from 1945-46 and to continue them on a permanent footing and eventually develop one of them into an Agricultural Institute. These schools are proposed to cater for the training of men of the rank of demonstrators and fieldsmen employed by the department in the first instance and eventually for the training of private farmers and the inferior staff of the tea industry in general agriculture and in specialized short courses.
