dc.description.abstractThe Department of Information and Publicity is the Publicity wing of the Administration. The main nature of the work of this department is. to make public aware the development activities of the Administration as well as the Nation. For this, the Department is using the publicity media like film, Video, T.V. Daily News paper, Radio broadcast, printing and distribution of pamphlets and conduct of cultural programmes like drama competition, etc. The department collect news about all development activities taking place in the Islands and sending the consolidated news to the AIR, PIB and UNI for broadcasting through Radio and publishing in the leading news papers etc.
