Brief Note for the Discussion of Ninth Five Year Plan (1997-2002) and Annual Plan 1997-98 Gujarat State

Abstract

Govt, of Gujarat had appointed a Commission under the chairmanship of Justice (Retired) A. R. BAKSHI to study Social Economic Condition of same weaker sections other than SC/ST in 1972. This Commission had identified 82 communities as Socially and Educationally Backward Classes and recommended various financial assistance/measures for their advancement.
