Draft Five Year Plan 1978-83 Collegiate Education Government of Madhya Pradesh

Abstract

There has been an unplanned and rapid expansion of higher education in the first four plans. In the fifth plan, the rote of growth of general higher education declined to some extent partly as a. result of a deliberate policy to regulate enrolments and partly due to restrictions on opening of new colleges and Universities. This is a welcome development and its gains will be consolidated in the new plan.
