Abstract

Since the de-facto merger of the Territory with Indian Union took place in November 1954 and de-jure transfer of the Territory from the French to Indian Union took place in August 1962, during the First Five Year Flan and in the beginning of the Second Plan the Territory was under the transitional stage politically. However, this Union Territory was covered by Development Planning in the last year of the First Five Year Plan.
