Abstract
The more important targets that are to be achieved Targets, as a result of the implementation of the Second Five Year Plan are in the filed of Agriculture, Cereals 276,15 thousand tons, Pulses 1.42 thousand tons, Sugarcane 109,60 thousand tons, oilseeds 16.66 thousand tons, Cotton 97,67 thousand bales and the establishment of 227 N.E.S. Blocks. It also envisages purchases of 24 tractors, including two bulldozers and the distribution of 2296 oil engines. In the field of Irrigation and Power, the additional area to be irrigated in all Projects is 7 lakh acres. The addition to the existing road mileage envisaged is 766, The Plan also envisages establishment of 2500 Primary schools, with an additional Intake of 3.00 lakh scholars
