Planning Scheduling with Network Technique (PERT/CPM)

Abstract

In the past decade, the pace of industrial development in India has increased tremendously. Large and complex projects have been undertaken by private and public sectors in various fields such as Industry, Irrigation, Power, Transport, etc. But an analysis of past experience indicates that majority of the projects could not keep up to their original time schedules and cost estimates. One of the major reasons for overruns of time and cost has been poor planning at the outset of the project.
