dc.description.abstractAt the conceptual level, it may be stated that agricultural production is the result of a partnership between 90 million farmers of India on the one hand and a host of institutions in the public, cooperative and private sectors on the other for delivering to them inputs and services like profitable technology, seeds (or breeds of animals), fertilizers (or animal or fish food). Plant protection services, soil and moisture conservation services, implements and machinery, post harvest services including incentive prices and efficient processing, credit support etc., (collectively called delivery service hereafter).
