Abstract

The plan allocation during the year 1980-81 & 1981-82 under Elementary Education Sector was Rs. 1167.40 lakhs and Rs. 737.00 ,respectively. Out of Rs.1167.40 lakhs allocated during the year, 1980-81 only Rs. 990.45 lakhs could be spent of which Rs. 228.32 lakhs was spent for teacher’s salaries who were appointed upto-1979-80 Rs.2.44. lakhs as state's share of Non-Formal Education, Rs. 88.12 lakhs for incentive schemes, Rs. 643.80 lakhs for construction and extension of Primary and M.V. School buildings, Rs. 4.08 lakhs for introduction of science in Elementary Schools, Rs. 20.61 lakhs in teacher's Training Rs. 3.05 lakhs for construction and repairing of some office buildings and Rs. 0.03 lakhs for other programmes.
