dc.description.abstractBanas kantha, a district formed only 6 years ago out of oho of the smaller Indian States, another small state, a part of a third and some old agency areas, is situated at the northwestern end of the Bombay State bordering £ Rajasthan in the north, Tho Run of Cutch, Cutch and Sind on the West, Mehsana on the south and Rajasthan and Sabarkantha on the East. Administratively and politically therefore its Integration is yet to-get established. There is an underlying cultural and linguistic unity among its people and sufficient local patriotism in the new administrative unit has developed but the multiple!ty of its revenue systems, tho variety of past administratiUfiZstandards and other legacies of tho past still require to be taken lnt6 account in evolving the pattern of its immediate or near future.
