Abstract

Haryana State Minor Irrigation & Tube wells Corporation was established in April, 1970 with an aim to investigate and assess qualitatively and quantitatively the groundwater available and to install and operate the deep tube wells viz. augmentation tube wells and direct irrigation tube wells Later on during the year 1973-74, its activities were expanded into a new field of lining of water courses for conserving precious canal water by way of saving in seepage losses occurring through eastern unlined watercourses.
