dc.description.abstractSeed Certification.— With the object of producing improved seeds of foundation stage and for the purpose of further distribution of improved seeds, 142 taluka seed multiplication farms with an area of 2377 hectares/5863 acres have been established. While the production of improved seeds from seed farms has been on the increase, it has been observed that further multiplication and distribution beyond the "A" stage seed does not receive attention except in rare instances. This situation exists in case of food grain crops but not in case of cotton.
