Abstract

The implementing agency of all (5) Growth Centres is Maharashtra Industries Development Corporation (MIDC) having its registered Head Office at Marol Industrial area, Andheri Mumbai - 400093. It is constituted under the Maharashtra Industrial Development Act 1961 and established on 1st August 1962. the MIDC is undertaking of Maharashtra Govt, registered under Company’s Act. The paid up share capital is subscribed by Govt, of Maharashtra and hence the company is exclusively owned by Maharashtra Govt. This comes under the Ministry of Industries, Energy & labour who are primarily responsible for the development .of industrial infrastructure in the state.
