dc.description.abstractIt is envisaged in the 6th plan to consider the village as the basic unit of development. There are 77,090 villages in the state distributed in 45 districts and 11 Revenue divisions. According co livestock census of 1976 there is 40.33 million livestock population and 7.1 million poultry population to cater the nutritional needs of 46.1 million human population of the state.
