Abstract

The Annual Plan: 2012-13 is the first Plan of the Twelfth Five Year Plan: 2012-17. This chapter outlines a development approach for the 12th Plan and is organized as follows. The first section introduces the State. The second section assesses the development profile of Odisha. This section also discusses some challenges Odisha faces. The next section analyses the performance of the 11th Plan. Some development imperatives that emerge from this analysis are also indicated in this section. A broad strategy for the 12th Plan and an approach for the Annual Plan: 2012-13 are articulated in the final section. This section also indicates sectoral allocations for the year 2012-13.
