dc.description.abstractNachani is the next important millet crop in the Territory and is grown during the kharif season in Goa District only. As the local varieties arc low yielding, a few improved short duration varieties have teen tried, some of which have given promising results and have become popular. Among these, the varieties PR-202 (Godavari) Indaf-2 and Indaf-5 are more popular.
