Abstract

The Planning Commission’s approved outlay for the Annual Plan for 1999-2000 is Rs.5800 crores. The budgeted outlay is Rs.5888 crores. The budgeted outlay represents an increase of 14% over the revised approved outlay of 1998-99 and 10% over the budgeted outlay. The district Plan for 1999-2000 has been fixed at Rs.792 crores. This represents an increase of 8% over the district Plan outlay for 1998-99. The outlay for externally aided projects in 1999-2000 is Rs.653.04 crores. Under the Special Component Plan Rs.263.6 crores have been earmarked for the welfare of Scheduled Castes and Rs.45.22 crores for Scheduled Tribes under the Tribal Subplan.
