Draft Ninth Five Year Plan (1997-2002) Jammu and Kashmir

Abstract

Jammu & Kashmir State along with Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, and seven north eastern States are categorized as Special Category States in the country for purpose of economic development. These states have a 90:10 pattern of grant loan assistance for disbursal of Central Plan Assistance which is also not distributed according to the Gadget Formula otherwise used for the non Special Category States.
