Abstract

75% of the cost in the case of urban water-supplies and 871/2% in the case of rural water supplies would be available from the Govt. and in cases where the beneficiaries cannot meet the contribution of 25 and 12 1/2% in case of urban and rural water-supplies respectively, it shall be advanced by the Govt as loan to the beneficiaries recoverable in 20 to 25 years in equal yearly instalments. The water supplies will be maintained by the State P.W.D. Water rates will however, be levied on all water supplies so as to recover the amount of loan interest thereof and the cost of maintenance etc. The state shall not have to nearly any recurring cost.
