Abstract
The State’s Fourth Five Year Plan envisages an overall outlay of Rs. 455.22 crores. The development programme drawn up for the first year of the Fourth Plan period involved an outlay of over Rs. 75 crores as against which an expenditure of Rs. 87.08 crores was registered. As against an outlay of Rs. 86 crores for the year 1970-71, an expenditure of about Rs. 95.51 crores is expected to be incurred. The Annual Plan for the year 1971-72 envisages an outlay of Rs. 95.58 crores or about 21 percent of the total Fourth Plan outlay. Thus, during the first three years of the Fourth Plan period, the outlay would be Rs. 278.17 crores which works out to about 61 per cent of the overall Fourth Plan outlay of Rs. 455.22 crores.
