Abstract

This publication Indians the level of development achieved by the end of 1970-71 rind the outlines of the development Programme which is proposed to be undertaken in this, territory during 1971-72. The Plan has been drawn up knowing in view the main objectives of the Fourth Plan and the funds available for the year. The outlay’ for the Fourth ’I an is approved by the Planning Commission is Rs. 1400.000 lakhs which the approved outlays for the first two years 1969-70 and 1970-71 were Rs. 181.690 lakhs and Rs. 309.420 lakhs respectively. Against those, an expenditure of R 211.502 lakhs and Rs. 244.946 lakhs was incurred. The outlay fixed by the Planning Commission for the annual plan 1971-72 stands at Rs. 342.900 lakhs.
