dc.description.abstractThe Ministry of Community Development came into existence on 20th September, 1956. the organisation was previously known as Community Projects Administration and was established on 31st March, 1952. the Ministry is responsible for promoting Community Development through the agency of National Extension Service in collaboration with the Central Ministries and State Governments. Major portion of the finance is provided by the Centre by way of loans and grants-in-aid.
