Daman and Diu Draft Tenth Five Year Plan 2002-2007 and Annual Plan 2002-2003

Abstract

Daman District of the U.T lies on tribal belt and hence the District has 20 % of its population of tribals. A separate Tribal Sub plan is also being implemented in the Union territory of Daman and Diu. The Scheduled castes comprise about 4% and hence no Special Component Plan is being implemented. They are being assisted under special schemes implemented for them from the general plan.
