Abstract

The Department need sufficient fund to Complete all of on-going Construction Schemes and to meet liabilities of some Completed Schemes. For the purchase of Sophisticated equipments for he Medical College Hospital during the year 1997-98 and for establishment of all Medical Institution under Directorate of Medical Education, Assam an amount of Rs.1800.00 lakhs is required. But the approved allocation is fixed during, the year 1997-98 at Rs.1050.00 lakh, which is insufficient to fulfill our programmes. Apart from this a special Central assistance also required at present for development of the Medical Colleges of Assam.
