Abstract

To provide an overall picture of the financial operations. The report indicates profit and loss to-date and for the quarter under review as well as that anticipated for the entire financial year- A comparison between budget and actuals is also provided. Details; The report has 14 Columns - Four giving the data for the quarter, four for the cumulative to-date and four for the financial year. The last column refers to the accompanying narrative report. For the quarter as well ar cumulative to the quarter, data is given for budgeted and actual expenditure, bringing out the variance in rupees lakhs and in percentage of budget. For the financial year, the original budget figures are to be given during first two quarters and the revised budget figures during the last two quarters of the year. These budget figures are compared with the anticipated results for the entire fiscal year as reported in column 13.
